Why Comma Mama

I teach English (American literature) and writing for a living, and I am working on completing my doctorate this summer (and beyond!).  I have been accused of being too enthusiastic about grammar and the English language in general.  But whatever else I am or do, I am “mama” too.  I love spending time with Owen and discovering the world all over again with him.  My husband actually came up with the name without hesitation when I asked him about a good title for my blog.  He’s pretty clever, that one.
